Welcome back to the 2nd in my series of blogs about my journey. Thank you for the kind reception and acceptance about the first part of the series.
Going from where I was before to where I am today has changed so much about my life. I have reformed my future because I had support to see where my health and life was not fulfilled to its potential.
“I have a purpose, and this passion is what empowers me”.
This week I was excited to have an interview with BBC South East News about my weight loss journey and role as a Life Coach. It was an excellent opportunity to share a part of my life story and to help inspire others.
People often remark how confident I am during interviews or presentations. Truth is I have not always been this way.
I was not born confident, assertive and knowing the path in life I want to walk. There was a time in my life when I was the complete opposite of the man I am now. I would put up a façade, a jolly happy man always laughing and making a joke about myself. I would often come across as arrogant and opinionated.
I was like this because deep inside I was unhappy and scared I wasn’t good enough for others, that I didn’t have value. I would put up barriers to stop people get close to me for fear they would see the real me. I saw myself as selfish, lazy and useless
I spent so much time thinking what others thought of me. I didn’t really consider much about who I wanted to be. I am not ashamed of my past because it helped make me who I am today. I know who I am now and where I want to be. I have a purpose, and this passion is what empowers me.

Now I have goals that mean a lot to me, and I am able to plan for them to suit my needs and desires. I see every day as a new opportunity to learn, grow and experience a world that for many years I spent so much time running away from
